MuralsWallpaper is #1 for an Unbelievable RV Transformation with Wallpaper

Between drab wooden cabinets and dull floral wallpaper, RV interiors can look and feel incredibly cookie cutter. That may not be a big deal if you’re just going out once or twice a year, but when you choose to live in an RV, you want it to look and feel like home. That means getting rid of the cookie cutter look and adding personal touches. For me, I really wanted shiplap walls but I was worried about adding extra weight to the RV. MuralsWallpaper turned out to be the perfect solution. I teamed up with them to bring you this post, check it out!

When I saw the Whitewash Wood Wallpaper, I immediately pictured it on the walls of my RV. It seemed so much easier than other Wall covering options and I thought it would be possible to put the paper up horizontally instead of vertically and get the perfect shiplap look. Turns out, I was right! Now, MuralsWallpaper does offer driftwood, timber, and cabin prints that are already horizontal, but I preferred the Whitewash Wood look.

Either way, MuralsWallpaper makes it easy to line up patterns with their clearly numbered drops. It’s nearly impossible to make a mistake with this method, making this as close to perfect as you can possibly get! Thanks to the wallpaper being printed 1 or 2% longer than the given dimensions, there’s ample space for trimming and cutting. This also allows for not so straight cuts, which is another reason I really love MuralsWallpaper.

If you have much experience with papering walls, then you no doubt understand that quality matters. Cheap wallpaper tends to be made with cheap material. Meaning they tear easily, bleed colors, and/or fade after a short amount of time. Even if you only spend a little on the wallpaper, you still have to invest time and effort in putting it up. And believe me, that’s no easy task. It’s better to choose high-quality wallpapers and pay a little more than cheap quality and have to deal with issues down the road.

The paper isn’t prepasted, so I did have to use an adhesive, but I actually prefer that. Every prepasted wall covering I’ve used has ended up falling off of the wall within weeks of putting it up. The only thing I had to do differently was making sure the adhesive was completely dry before I trimmed the overhang. That let me spend more time making sure everything was aligned without racing against the clock. I waited a full day and the paper trimmed perfectly with a utility knife. There were no snags, rips, or issues whatsoever which really impressed me.

I eventually want to put up molding and baseboard but I’m so impressed with how my walls look I’m in no hurry. The Whitewash Wood Wallpaper looks so realistic that people are always touching it, just to make sure it’s not real wood. It is everything I could have hoped for and then some. Since it’s not real wood I’m not stressing over extra weight in my RV. That means no added stress when it comes to hitting the road!

  1. We remodeled a 1977 travel trailer when covid hit, 15mos later, were still at it!. I used vinyl wall paper and after the cold and heat it lifted! I had to use wall paper glue to reattach it. I would recommend doing this to save the headach down the road!
