Fall Table Centerpieces: A Fun Project
Fall is full of changes, from the colors to the weather. It’s so beautiful and pure and magical that I find myself in awe every year. As soon as the leaves start to turn I start getting excited about the fall and winter holidays. I’m also pretty psyched about all the fall craft projects that are getting ready to happen! One of my first fall DIY projects this year was to create an adorable centerpiece for the table, or outdoor decor, however, I want to swing it works for this project!
I took a few of the items I received in partnership with Oriental Trading and turned it into the perfect indoor/outdoor Autumnal decor. I’m going to show you how I did it so you can recreate it yourself! I have lots more seasonal crafts in the works so be sure you’re subscribed to our Friday feed and bookmark Sundaes & Flip Flops so you can always find us 🙂
For this DIY Fall Craft Project, I used
- 1 DIY flower box
- Acrylic paints, in fall colors
- 1 bag of decorative fall leaves
- 1 bag of pine cones
- Stencil (here’s the cut file I used for my Cricut cutter)
- Tealight candles
- ModPodge, or other adhesive
The first thing I did was temporarily attach the stencils I used to each side. I didn’t use transfer tape, but I would highly recommend it to make sure the letters line up correctly.
I painted over the stencil, different colors on each side. I tried to give a graduated color change and love how they came out.
Keep adding to the color until you get the desired result.
Let the paint dry a little bit then carefully peel off the stencils. From here you can adorn and decorate the planter however you want it.
I used Mod Podge to glue on some of the leaves on the Autumn side, and added glitter to the The Season of Change side.
Fill the planter with leaves and pinecones and you have an adorable DIY Fall centerpiece. I added tealight candles to boost the ambiance and couldn’t love it any more than I do now!
I admire people who do crafts. I’m not that creative. These look like fun.
